Mid-Point Course Reflection and Check-in with GUB
Collaborate with Partners · Mid-Course Check In
Mid-Point Course Reflection:
You have reached the halfway mark in this map course and accomplished much! In Stage 1 Laying the Groundwork, you: 1) conducted research about child-friendly cities, 2) drafted foundational map documents, 3) identified map partners and began searching for a map designer (or two) and 4) considered funding pathways.
In Stage 2 Collaborate with Partners, you: 1) learned about Participatory Planning, 2) watched GUB’s Six Key Principles of Youth Engagement videos, 3) prepared for and facilitated Partner Meeting 1, and 4) gathered initial map data from partners and their young people.

Well done! Now it’s time to take a mid-point pause and reflect.
Reflection directions:
Answer the following questions as a team and post on a discussion board below:
1. What is exciting you about this map making process?
2. What are you challenged by?
3. Have you been surprised by anything?
4. How are the young people in your city responding to your engagements?
5. What questions or issues are coming up for you?
Check-in with GUB (OPTIONAL)
