Reflect on the CFC Map Making Process & Create a Map Report

Now that your map has been printed, distributed and celebrated, it’s time to reflect on the map project as a whole. To begin, we encourage you to sit down as a team and record the answers to the follow questions:

• What did you learn about your youngest constituents (children) during this map making journey?
• What surprised you?
• What map locations are young people and their parents interested in your city?
• How are parents’ interests and their children’s interests similar or different?
• What are the assets of your community?
• What are the barriers of your community? 
• What in your process went smoothly?
• What in your process provided challenges?
• If another city ask you about your map making process, what advice would you give them?

After reflecting on the above questions, review our CFC Map Report. Then, think about how you want to report out on your map-making experience. What format will your report take? The report can be shared with all of your stakeholders, partners, students, sponsors and funders. We think you’ll find that your city partners will find your report to be both interesting and useful in thinking about what’s important to children and their families.
